About Me

As a WOC and Chicagoland journalist, I'm interested in writing stories about social issues facing my local community. I've written about a Cicero community organizer fighting anti-blackness and about sex worker’s vulnerabilities during the pandemic.

I also work as the opinion editor for the Northern Star, my university’s award-winning, student-run newspaper.

When I'm not in school or in the field, I like to thrift and shop second-hand to be environmentally conscious. I run a Depop shop to share my love of vintage and secondhand fashion. I sell items for midsize people like me who struggle to find cute clothes in their size.

I'm proud to be fast-fashion-free for two years running.

In addition to my shop, I'm working on dyeing my hair every color of the rainbow and finishing my degree.
